Interesting. Where exactly is that input speed sensor located? And was the ABS system completely failing for you as well? I'm trying to get a handle on if the control unit is really the issue.

However, considering the symptoms you described and the potential control unit issue, I would recommend taking it to a qualified workshop for a diagnostic assessment. I experienced a similar issue with my S Klasse. The ABS light illuminated intermittently, and the speedometer exhibited erratic behavior. Have you had the input speed sensor checked? That was the source of my woes.
