Mercedes S Klasse Diesel Coolant Issue Resolved
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Mercedes S Klasse diesel engine experienced a coolant issue, with the coolant level dropping and the check engine light activating. The problem was suspected to be related to the radiator cap, coolant leak, radiator hoses, or possibly a head gasket. However, it was resolved by addressing a corroded or damaged coolant sensor cable and plug located on the lower part of the radiator. The repair cost was 95€, and it was confirmed that the issue was not as severe as a head gasket problem.

Thanks for the quick reply Can you tell me where the coolant sensor cable and plug are located Was your error message the same as mine I want to check it out before doing anything major

It's on the lower part of the radiator, near where the radiator hoses connect The error was similar enough Still, get it checked, could be a leak It's best to take it to a workshop
