Mercedes S Klasse hybrid engine idle problem

My 2012 Mercedes S Klasse hybrid, with low mileage, has a troubling issue. The check engine light is on, and the error memory says there's a fault related to the engine idle air control valve. The engine stalls when idling. The air intake might be heavily contaminated. Has anyone experienced similar difficulties? I've received an estimate of around 425€, which seems steep. Any insights into the IAC valve and engine idle issues?

I had a similar issue with my S Klasse. Check engine light, rough car idle, the whole shebang. Could be the air valve. Is your fuel consumption higher than normal?

Okay, if your fuel consumption is up, it's likely the air intake. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They cleaned the intake and replaced the IAC valve. Problem solved.
