Thanks I checked the wheel speed sensors, and they seemed okay, but I will check again There's an error code for a speed signal issue So, I think the control unit might be bad Did your Volvo show the same error code What fixed it for you

Yes, the error codes I got pointed to a speed signal fault and a possible ABS module problem Since you checked the wheel speed sensors, you should take your Mercedes to a good mechanic It could be a problem inside the ABS module, so it might need to be replaced or reprogrammed For my Volvo, the ABS module was failing and needed to be replaced

Thanks for your help It looks like I'm in the same situation I'll take it to my mechanic They think it's probably the control unit and quoted about 1000€ to fix it Hopefully that will fix the ABS and everything will be normal

That sounds frustrating I had a similar issue with my 2018 Volvo XC60 My ABS light would come on sometimes, and my braking felt weaker, especially when it was wet My odometer was fine though Did you check the wheel speed sensors A bad sensor can cause those problems, and they're not too expensive Also, did you scan the car for error codes That might tell you more
