Mercedes SL audio system failure

My 2016 Mercedes SL gasoline engine has a completely dead audio system I have tried everything but there is no sound output from any source Has anyone else had this radio silence issue I am also worried about audio connectivity and sound distortion problems before this happened

I had a similar problem with my SL complete radio silence It turned out to be a blown fuse for the amplifier Did you check the fuses Are there any error messages on the COMAND screen Were there Bluetooth or audio connectivity problems before it died

I checked the fuses and they are fine The COMAND screen works showing the audio source but there is no sound There was some minor sound distortion at higher volumes before Could this be related

That sound distortion is a bad sign It suggests the bass speaker failed and maybe damaged the amplifier Considering the age and mileage it is not surprising You could try more DIY troubleshooting but I suggest taking it to a shop experienced with Mercedes audio systems They can find the cause and prevent more damage

I took it to a technician and the bass speaker was bad which damaged the amplifier The repair was 280€ Thanks for the help
