Diagnostic scan? What kind of scan are you talking about? How would I know which airbag sensor is bad? I don't want to start randomly replacing things.

The diagnostic scan checks the automotive safety system and identifies the source of the SRS light activation. It reads the error codes stored in the system's computer. It might point to a specific airbag sensor or connection. I would recommend a workshop visit to get it properly diagnosed. A defective cable or plug connection of the component could be the cause.

Thanks for the info. I got it checked out. Turns out it was a bad connection like I suspected. Cost me 95€ to fix.

I had a similar issue with my Mercedes. I think mine is the CLK model. The SRS light illuminated, indicating a potential problem within the car safety system. It could be a faulty airbag sensor or a wiring issue. It's difficult to be certain without a diagnostic scan.
