Mercedes SLC Diesel Starting Issues and Performance Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Mercedes SLC diesel is experiencing starting issues, reduced performance, increased fuel consumption, and rough idling, sometimes stalling. The suspected cause is a bad injector, possibly due to a dirty valve. A similar case confirmed a faulty injector as the cause, and replacing it resolved the issues. It is recommended to check the error log and consult a professional for diagnosis and repair.

Thanks. Can you tell me more about how you diagnosed the bad injector? Did you try cleaning or anything before replacing it? Also, is your car diesel or gasoline?

The error log pointed right to the bad injector. I didn't try cleaning it; the report said to replace it. Mine's a diesel too. With those symptoms and the mileage, I'd suggest taking it to a good shop for a proper check and fix.

Thanks for the help. I took it to a shop, and they found a bad injector like you said. Replacing it fixed the problem. The whole thing cost 515€. Thanks again for your thoughts.

I had similar problems with my SLC. It turned out to be a faulty injector. Did you check the error log? Those symptoms sound typical. You might need to replace the injector.
