I haven't checked the electrical connectors that closely I mostly gave them a quick visual inspection Where exactly should I be looking for this corrosion, and how would I go about cleaning it Is it something I can do myself, or am I better off handing it over to a professional at this point It's only affecting the left headlight

Given that the headlight malfunction is isolated to a single side, it strongly suggests that you might have a defective servomotor within the afflicted headlight unit, or potentially damage to the wiring specific to that component As for cleaning the connectors, you could attempt using electrical contact cleaner, but proceed with the utmost caution If you lack confidence in your abilities, I would certainly advocate for seeking professional assistance My eventual repair cost totalled 1040€ I went straight to a workshop

Thanks a bunch for the advice You were spot on I bit the bullet and took it to the shop Turns out it was a defective servomotor in the headlight, just like you predicted New one installed, the error's gone, and my headlights are behaving again Expensive, but at least I can see where I'm going now I really appreciate the help

I can certainly empathize I own a similar SLC and recently encountered a similar situation The symptoms you describe are quite reminiscent of my experience Did you by any chance inspect the electrical connectors leading to the headlight assembly I discovered that some corrosion had accumulated within the connector, thereby impeding the flow of electricity Is the headlight malfunction affecting both headlights or only one
