Mercedes SLC Keyless Entry Problem

It's just the driver's side door handle. They didn't give me the exact error code, just said it indicated a fault with the door handle locking system electronics. Does the sensor issue you mentioned require replacing the whole door handle, or can it be repaired separately?

Ugh, driver's side door is always the first to go. Unfortunately, it really depends on the exact problem with the car door sensor. It COULD be a simple wiring issue, but more often than not, it's the sensor itself. 95€ sounds about right for diagnostics and maybe a quick fix, but be prepared for the possibility of needing a new door handle assembly. Best to get a proper diagnosis at the workshop to confirm.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and as you suspected, it was a faulty sensor in the door handle. They replaced the sensor, and the keyless entry is working perfectly again. The final bill was indeed 95€, so your estimate was spot on.

Sounds like a sensor issue with your electric door. I had a similar problem on my older C-Class. Is it both doors or just one? Sometimes it's a simple fix, sometimes not. Did they mention anything specific about the error code? Knowing that would help narrow it down.
