Yeah, I suspect the ignition coil as well. How did you pinpoint yours? I'm no expert, but I'm decent with a wrench and multimeter. Any specific tests I should run?

Symptoms are similar to what I experienced. I tried diagnosing it myself, but honestly, the vehicle diagnostics can be tricky. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They found a defective ignition coil, likely due to a faulty cable connection. It sorted out the check engine light and engine hesitation right away. Best to get yours checked by a professional.

Thanks for the insight! Based on your experience, I'll bite the bullet and take it to a mechanic. Turns out it was exactly what we thought: a defective ignition coil, caused by a bad plug. Repair cost me 95€. Runs like new now!
