Mercedes SLC Throttle Issue Resolution
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers on a 2019 Mercedes SLC experiencing a defective throttle valve, high fuel consumption, and starting difficulties. The initial suspicion was on the throttle valve or accelerator pedal module. Diagnostic steps included checking the throttle valve and its electrical connections for damage or corrosion. Error codes P0121 and P0122 indicated throttle position sensor issues. Ultimately, a faulty accelerator pedal module was identified and replaced, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply I'm getting P0121 and P0122, indicating throttle position sensor issues Besides visually checking the throttle valve for damage, what electrical tests would you suggest Could the air intake system be involved

Those codes do point to a faulty throttle position sensor, possibly in the throttle valve assembly Without special tools, it's hard to find the exact internal problem I'd recommend a Mercedes-Benz workshop for a full check It's possible a bad air intake part is also playing a role

Thanks for the advice I spoke to a Mercedes-Benz tech who confirmed a bad accelerator pedal module and replaced it The total cost was 205€ The car is running normally now Your help was key in solving this quickly

I've seen something similar in my SLC The symptoms sound the same Have you checked the engine throttle itself The car throttle body can get deposits that affect airflow, even after cleaning It's like a clogged artery restricting blood flow I'd check the throttle valve and its electrical connector for damage or corrosion What codes are you getting
