I have a problem with my Mercedes SLC. The check engine light is illuminated and only 2 control units are recognized in the error readout, although there used to be about 40. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be and how I can fix it?
Start by checking the OBD-II scanner connection and ensure it's properly connected to the diagnostic port. If the connection is secure, try using a different scanner to rule out a faulty device. Let me know how it goes or if you have further questions!

A colleague with the same car has the same problem. Only 2 control units are recognized. Obd plug and universal plug have the same effect.

Check the fuses related to the diagnostic system and control units. A blown fuse could prevent proper communication with the control units. If the fuses are intact, it might be a more complex issue requiring professional diagnosis. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you have any updates!
