Data transmission and control units sound complicated I'm not very techy I used a basic OBD2 scanner, which confirmed the MOST bus fault, but not the module Any tips on finding the faulty control unit, or should I see a professional?

Since you're getting a general MOST bus fault error and lack specialized equipment to test each control unit, I suggest taking it to a qualified Mercedes-Benz workshop They have the tools and expertise to isolate the faulty module These advanced systems often need specialized tools for effective troubleshooting

Thanks for the advice I'll book it in with a specialist The workshop found a faulty amplifier in the MOST bus It cost 1000€, but it's fixed

A MOST bus fault can be troublesome The MOST bus is an automotive protocol for data transmission between control units, especially for multimedia A break in the loop can cause these symptoms Have you checked the error memory with car diagnostics?
