Mercedes V Klasse Diesel Rough Running Reset Quantity Drift Compensation Needed
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Mercedes V Klasse diesel was experiencing rough running and a check engine light, with an error indicating a fault related to quantity drift compensation. The suspected cause was a defective fuel injector valve. The issue was resolved by taking the vehicle to a workshop, where the faulty injector was replaced, and a compensation adjustment was performed, resulting in the engine running smoothly again.

Thanks for the info. No specific cylinder was indicated. I'm wondering, when you had the issue, did you try any compensation adjustment or system reset procedures before replacing any parts?

I didn't try any system reset or compensation adjustment myself. I took it straight to the workshop. They confirmed it was the fuel injection and replaced the injector. From my understanding there are also some diagnostic steps, so I would consider going to the workshop.

Thanks. I took it to the workshop. It was indeed a faulty injector. The repair included replacing the injector and a compensation adjustment. The total cost was 515€. Now the engine runs smoothly again.

I had a similar issue with my V Klasse. The engine was running poorly, and the check engine light was also triggering. Did you check the airflow sensors? I know that faulty fuel injection can cause this problem too, but I would also check other car sensors. Did the error code point to a specific cylinder?
