Thanks for sharing. Do you remember the troubleshooting steps or error codes? Was the repair simple, or did it involve more work in the fuel tank or system?

I don't have the specific error codes. The issue required a visit to a workshop. Technicians assessed the fuel system, tank, gauge, and sensor. They found the sensor needed replacing. I'd recommend getting professional help from a workshop with the right tools and knowledge for diagnosis and repair.

Thanks for the confirmation. I took it to a shop, and it was a faulty fuse for the fuel level sensor. Replacing it fixed the problem. The total cost was 52€.

I had a similar issue with my Mercedes V Klasse. The fuel gauge acted erratically, sometimes showing a full tank when it wasn't, and the check engine light came on. A diagnostic showed a fuel level sensor malfunction. I'd suggest checking the fuel system, including the sensor and wiring.
