Summary of the thread

Thanks for the reply Ignition coil I haven't checked that Honestly, I wouldn't even know where to start Is it easy to get to And you mentioned the ignition switch being pricey what sort of cost are we talking about I'm trying to avoid getting ripped off, you know

Yeah, the ignition coil can be a bit tricky to get to depending on the engine layout If you're not comfortable poking around, I wouldn't risk it The ignition switch well, the part itself isn't crazy expensive, but the labor can add up, especially if they need to reprogram the key To be honest, with those symptoms, I'd just take it to a trusted workshop It could save you a lot of headache in the long run Better safe than sorry, right

Thanks a lot for the advice I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it wasn't the ignition coil Turns out it was a defective fuse related to the ignition system Cost me 52€ to get it sorted Appreciate the help

Sounds familiar I've got a V Klasse too, and I had similar issues a while back Engine cutting out, rough running nightmare Did you check the ignition coil When was the last time you replaced it Have you noticed any patterns, like does it happen more when the engine is cold or hot Could be the ignition switch itself, though that's usually a pricier fix So frustrating, isn't it
