Indeed, the BUS system connection is my primary suspect. Could you elaborate on the specifics of your experience? Were the symptoms identical? And, if I may inquire, what was the ultimate resolution in your case? Was it also related to the check engine warning light?

Okay, so yeah, pretty much the same. The warning signal drove me nuts. I wasn't comfortable messing with the BUS system myself. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a loose connection. They re-seated or replaced the connector, I can't remember exactly. But honestly, just take it to a professional. System failure can be tricky.

I extend my sincere gratitude for your valuable input. Following your recommendation, I consulted with a qualified technician. The diagnosis corroborated our suspicions: a compromised cable connection to the control unit, impacting the BUS system. The faulty connection was rectified, and the system is now functioning nominally. The total expenditure amounted to 155€, aligning with my initial estimation. Once again, thank you for your time and expertise.

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I own a V Klasse too and had something similar happen. Random system failure, navigation going nuts, the whole shebang. Was it the BUS system connection that triggered the malfunction indicator?
