Thank you for your reply. It's reassuring to know that it's not as serious as I thought. Can you remember how much it cost you to replace the control unit? And have you had any other problems since then, or has everything gone smoothly? I would really appreciate some feedback. Thanks in advance!

Hey, sure, I still remember - I had to dig pretty deep into my pocket to replace the defective Comfort Access control unit, which was €600. Since then I've had no further problems with it. By the way, you were right in your assumption about the antenna in the bumper. That's why it was also fixed when I went to the mechanic. But all in all, my car is doing great again now and is running like clockwork again! Hope that helps you.

Hey, thanks for the detailed answer. That helps me a lot. 600 is quite a lot, but if the car runs perfectly again afterwards, I think it's worth the investment. And great to hear that your antenna in the bumper has also been fixed. I'll probably get in touch with my garage in the next few days and investigate. Thanks again, really!

Hi, I recently had something similar with my 2019 Mercedes G-Class. Also a problem with the comfort access, and it was actually the control unit, not the antenna. It was a bit annoying because sometimes you couldn't lock or unlock the car, but it wasn't really serious. As the mechanics at the garage said, the control unit will simply break down through everyday use and then it has to be replaced. So they simply replaced it and since then it has been running perfectly again. Hope that helps you!
