Mercedes X Klasse air suspension failure
Summary of the thread
The 2017 Mercedes X Klasse experienced air suspension failure, causing the vehicle to lean to one side. This issue was suspected to be due to an air leak, potentially within the air spring assembly or the bellows valve. A pressure test and visual inspection were suggested to confirm the exact cause. Ultimately, the bellows valve was identified as the faulty component and was replaced, resolving the suspension issue.

I haven't personally checked the air lines myself, but the mechanic mentioned something about an air leak. Is the bellows valve a common point of failure? And is there any way to confirm it's definitely the valve before I pay for a replacement?

Confirmation of the precise component failure without diagnostic equipment is challenging. However, given the symptoms, a defective bellows valve is a plausible cause. These valves, responsible for maintaining appropriate air pressure within the air spring, are susceptible to wear and tear. Visual inspection may reveal obvious damage, but a pressure test is often necessary for definitive diagnosis. I would recommend consulting with a qualified technician for a comprehensive evaluation.

Appreciate the advice The bellows valve in the air spring was the culprit. Cost me 590€ to get it sorted, but at least the X Klasse is riding smooth again Thanks for confirming my suspicions

Your predicament resonates with my own experiences concerning the air suspension system in the X Klasse. The leaning, error messages, and compromised ride quality, points towards a potential air leak within the air spring assembly. Have you inspected the air lines and fittings for any signs of degradation or leakage?
