Mercedes X Klasse Blower Motor Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Mercedes X Klasse experienced a blower motor failure, leading to a non-functional air conditioning system. The issue was suspected to be related to the air quality sensor, also known as the AUC sensor. After investigation, it was confirmed that a faulty cable connection to the AUC sensor was the cause. The problem was resolved by repairing the cable at a workshop, restoring the AC functionality.

So, the AUC sensor, that's like, directly linked to the blower? I'm a total newbie when it comes to cars. Where exactly do I find the cable and plug you're talking about?

Yeah, it can be. The air quality sensor, also called the air conditioning sensor sometimes, talks to the system. As for location, it's tricky to explain without showing you. Honestly, it's probably best to get it checked out by a workshop to confirm the diagnosis.

Turns out it was a dodgy cable on the AUC sensor. Workshop charged me 95€ to fix it. At least the AC is working again!

I had a similar issue with my Mercedes, not an X Klasse though. The air conditioning sensor, which I believe is the same as the odor sensor you mentioned, can cause weird issues. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the component? A defective connection can definitely stop the blower motor from working.
