Mercedes X Klasse Diesel Belt Tensioner Issue

No chirping just the handover failing The timing belt moves but the idler pulley doesn't seem to engage correctly Was your issue also a complete handover failure

Yes the handover failed completely eventually I had it checked and the whole belt drive system needed adjustment I suggest you have it inspected at a workshop

Thanks for the info I had it checked It was indeed the belt tensioner Repair cost was 455€ Automobile maintenance can be expensive sometimes but engine performance is back to normal now
