Mercedes X Klasse Tire Pressure Warning

Regarding the air valve, are you suggesting a potential obstruction or leakage that might influence the sensor's functionality? I hadn't considered that, and it represents a potentially less invasive diagnostic avenue. Could you please elaborate on the nature of the air valve check you performed, and if you encountered any specific indicators of malfunction?

Yes, precisely! I was thinking about a blockage or corrosion that might affect the air pressure readings. I didn't actually do the air valve check myself, to be honest. I ended up taking it to my mechanic. He confirmed that the sensors were indeed faulty. With that many kilometers, it's almost certainly the batteries. He replaced all four, and the error vanished. I'd recommend a trip to the workshop to get it sorted. It cost me around 280€, parts and labor included.

I appreciate you sharing your experience and the associated cost information. Given the symptoms and your resolution, I shall proceed with replacing the tire pressure sensors. I believe this will resolve the issue.

I know this problem well! I had the exact same thing happen on my X Klasse. The 'low tire' warning kept popping up even after I made absolutely sure the tire inflation was correct. It's incredibly annoying. Did you check the air valve on the tires themselves? Sometimes they can get a little corroded, which can mess with the sensor readings. But honestly, with the kilometers on your vehicle, it really does sound like the sensor batteries are just giving up.
