Mercedes X Klasse Transmission Issue

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm going to check the oil level right away. Did your pressure gauge show any strange readings before the fault code appeared?

I didn't notice the pressure gauge. The emergency mode activated quickly. Checking the oil level is a good start, but if the problem continues, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. These things can be complex.

You were right. Oil level was low. I topped it up, cleared the fault code, and it seems to be running smoothly again. It cost me 365€ for the oil and a diagnostic check. Thanks for the tip!

I had a similar issue with my X Klasse. Same symptoms: emergency mode, rough shifts. The error memory also reported a pressure sensor fault. Have you checked the gearbox oil level? That was the problem for me.
