When you mention checking the wiper switch, are you referring to the multi-function switch on the steering column that also controls the turn signal, or is there a separate switch specifically for the windshield wipers I inspected the wiring harness as you suggested, but I did not notice any obvious signs of damage, although it is difficult to examine every single wire without removing the entire assembly Could the rain sensor also be the culprit, even if it appears intact

Yes, I was referring to the multi-function switch I am not sure about the rain sensor though If you have already checked the fuses and the wiring looks okay, and you are still getting an error code, it might be beyond a simple fix Given the stored error, it may be best to take it to a workshop They will be able to properly diagnose the issue with specialized tools

I appreciate your advice I took the vehicle to a certified Mercedes-Benz workshop It turned out to be a defective plug connection in the steering column, like you mentioned They replaced the connector, and the windshield wipers are now functioning correctly The total cost was 95€ Thank you again for your help

I understand you're having issues with your windshield wipers I had a similar problem once with a different vehicle Have you checked the wiper switch itself Also, is there any sign of damage to the wiring harness near the steering column It is a common spot for wear and tear Is there any damage Maybe give that a look before anything
