Hey, thanks so much for sharing your experience! That sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with. Really helpful to know that it was the oil pump in your case. Quick question do you remember roughly how much the whole repair set you back? And has everything been running smoothly since, or did you run into any other issues? Thanks again!

Hey again! Yes, absolutely I can tell you exactly how it turned out! After seeing your symptoms matched mine so closely, I'm really glad I could help point you in the right direction. I just had the repair done last year, and it cost me 755€ to fix the oil pump defect. I know it's not cheap, but honestly, it was worth every penny because the car's been running like a dream since then. The Malfunction in the engine oil pressure system is completely fixed now no more warning lights, no weird noises, and definitely no more metal particles in the oil (I've been checking religiously since!). My FX35 is running as smooth as butter, just like when I first got it. Haven't had a single issue related to the oil system since the repair. Trust me, getting it fixed promptly was the best decision you really don't want to mess around with oil pressure problems. Let me know how yours turns out! Cheers!

Thanks for all the info! Just wanted to update you on what happened with my car. I took your advice and didn't wait around. Found a certified Infiniti mechanic nearby and took it in last week. You were spot on it was the oil pump! Got it replaced, and they did a full system flush too. Cost me about 800€, pretty close to what you paid. The best part? The car's running perfectly now. No more scary noises or warning lights. The mechanic actually showed me the old pump, and it was pretty badly worn. Really glad I didn't put this off any longer. Thanks again for sharing your experience it really helped me make the right call. Sometimes it's just reassuring to know someone else has been through the same thing and came out okay on the other side! Take care!

Hey there, I had almost identical symptoms with my 2011 Infiniti FX35 last year. That metal in oil and engine noise combo raised some serious red flags. Turned out my oil pump was failing, which was causing low pressure and inadequate lubrication. This explained the valve noise and metal particles parts were getting worn due to poor oil circulation. From my experience, this isn't something you want to wait on. When it happened to my FX, I brought it straight to the dealership because oil pump failure can lead to complete engine damage pretty fast. The repair involved replacing the oil pump, cleaning the entire oil system, and checking for any additional damage. Took about 3 days of work. Definitely get it checked ASAP pressure loss and metal particles usually mean something's seriously wrong. These symptoms are pretty much textbook oil pump failure, and it's not the kind of issue that fixes itself. Hope this helps.
