Thanks for sharing your experience, that sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with! The bearing issue makes total sense with these symptoms. Just curious do you remember roughly how much the repair ended up costing you? And has everything been running smoothly since the fix, or have you had any other issues pop up?

Hey again! Just wanted to follow up after getting my bearings fixed last summer, my Q50 has been running like a dream! The repair set me back about 625€, but honestly, it was worth every penny to prevent a total engine failure. The mechanic cleaned out all the contaminated oil and replaced the worn bearings, and I haven't had a single issue since. The metal contamination in the oil was completely resolved after the fix, and all those scary warning lights disappeared. My engine's running nice and quiet now, no more concerning noises or overheating problems. If you're experiencing the same symptoms, I'd definitely recommend getting it checked out ASAP. It's better to catch these things early I was lucky I didn't wait too long or it could've been way more expensive. Let me know if you need the contact info for my mechanic they really know their stuff when it comes to Infiniti hybrids!

Thanks so much for all the details! You've honestly made me feel a lot better about this whole situation. I actually took your advice and got my car checked out yesterday at a specialized shop. You were spot on it was indeed bearing failure, just like your case. The mechanic I found was great super transparent about everything and actually showed me the worn parts. Ended up costing me around 700€, a bit more than yours but still way better than needing a whole new engine! They fixed it right up, and I just drove it home today. The difference is like night and day no more scary noises or warning lights, and she's running cool again. Really appreciate you sharing your experience it helped me make the right call instead of putting it off and risking bigger problems. Sometimes you just need someone who's been through it to point you in the right direction, you know? Thanks again for all your help!

Hey! I feel you on this one. I had a similar situation with my 2014 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid last summer. When I noticed metal shavings in my oil and engine noise, it turned out to be bearing failure in my engine. The symptoms were almost identical engine running hot, warning lights, the works. Found a really good specialist shop that works on Infiniti hybrids, and they diagnosed it as main bearing wear that was causing metal particles to circulate through the system. It was definitely a serious issue that needed immediate attention to prevent complete engine failure. The repair wasn't a quick fix, but it saved the engine from total destruction. If you're seeing metal in the oil, don't wait on this one. These symptoms usually point to internal engine damage that's getting worse with each mile driven. From my experience, you'll want to find a shop that specifically knows Infiniti hybrid systems they're pretty complex and different from regular engines. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any other info.
