Micra ABS Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Nissan Micra diesel has an ABS warning light that remains on, leading to traction issues. The suspected cause is a speed signal fault, but the actual problem was identified as a defective control unit (ECU) after a diagnostic check by a mechanic. The solution involved replacing the faulty ECU, resolving the ABS issue.

How did you solve the issue? What do you mean by 'affected control unit'? Which one are you referring to? Any sensor I should be aware of? Same dashboard symptoms as me?

I took mine to a workshop. The ABS light was on. They ran a diagnostic and determined that the ECU was faulty and needed replacing. Given your symptoms, a visit to a qualified mechanic might be worthwhile.

The mechanic confirmed the control unit was defective. In the end, it cost me around 1000€ to get it sorted. At least it's finally fixed!

I had a similar situation with my Micra. The affected control unit might be defective. Does your dashboard light up?
