Micra Diesel Running Lean
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Nissan Micra diesel is experiencing a lean running condition, characterized by reduced power, a check engine light, rough running, and jerking during acceleration. The issue may be due to a defective injection valve or injector. After cleaning the intake manifold and checking for vacuum leaks, it was suggested to test the fuel injectors. The problem was confirmed to be a faulty fuel injector, which was replaced to resolve the issue.

Thanks. The O2 sensor seems okay per the OBD reader. What was the problem with your Astra, and did it also run lean?

Turned out to be a faulty fuel injector, causing a lean condition. I'd advise getting the injectors tested. Could save guesswork.

Appreciate the help. Workshop confirmed a defective fuel injector. Replacement and diagnostic cost 515€. Thanks again.

Possible. My old Opel Astra had similar symptoms, though it was petrol. Check engine light, rough idle, and power loss pointed to fuel delivery issues. Have you checked the oxygen sensor or throttle body?
