Micra electrical malfunction transport mode

I'm having a weird issue with my 2011 Nissan Micra (gasoline engine). I've got 107972 km on it. The car seems to think it's brand new and stuck in some sort of 'transport mode.' My navigation isn't working at all, and there's just a general electrical malfunction vibe going on. It's like the car's brain is scrambled! Any ideas? I tried turning it off and on again, but no luck.

That sounds frustrating! I actually had a similar experience with my 2018 Volvo V60. It acted like it was fresh off the factory floor. Is the engine starting okay? It sounds like the car configuration isn't complete. Perhaps, the software needs a little nudge to fully 'wake up.'

Thanks for the reply! The engine starts fine, thankfully. What kind of 'nudge' are we talking about? Is this something I can do myself, or am I looking at a trip to the dealer?

In my case, the 'nudge' was a software refresh that only the dealer could perform. Think of it like a computer that hasn't finished installing its operating system. It might 'boot up,' but key features won't work until everything is fully loaded. Given the electrical issues you're describing, my advice would be to head to a workshop to have them check the software.

Okay, I understand. I was hoping to avoid the workshop, but it seems like the best course of action. Thanks for your help! Just got back from the shop - a quick software reconfiguration fixed everything. The bill was 0€. Appreciate the advice!
