Micra Mirror Heating Fault

My 2011 Nissan Micra with a gasoline engine has an issue. The mirror heating on both sides isn't working. I used an OBD2 scanner and got an error code for the mirror heating circuit. Fuses are fine. Anyone else had this?

Sounds like an issue in the mirror heating circuit. With the error code and both mirrors failing, I'd guess a common failure point. Have you checked the wiring and plugs to the heating elements? Could be a bad cable or corroded connector.

I checked the wiring and connectors inside the mirror housing, but I didn't take apart the door to trace the wiring further. Could the problem be deeper in the car's electronics, or is it more likely in the mirror assembly?

A bigger electrical fault is possible, but less likely given the error code points to the mirror heating circuit. A defective cable or plug near the mirror is still most likely. If you're not experienced with car electrics, get a workshop to diagnose it. They'll have the tools to trace the wiring and find the fault. Expect around 95€.

Thanks, I'll get it checked by a workshop to avoid more damage. Appreciate the help!
