Micra transmission fault
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Nissan Micra diesel experienced transmission issues, with the transmission indicator and check engine lights on, and the vehicle stuck in emergency mode. The problem was identified as a radiator oil pressure error, possibly due to a faulty cable or plug connection. After inspection, it was confirmed that the issue was indeed a defective cable/plug connection to the radiator oil pressure sensor, which was resolved with a repair.

Coolant level seems fine, no obvious leaks. I'll check the wiring again, but where exactly is the pressure sensor located? And was it the same symptoms with yours?

Yeah, same deal with the lights and the dodgy shifting. Sensor's usually near the radiator fan, could be obscured by other stuff. Honestly, if you suspect a wiring issue and aren't super confident with electrical stuff, it might be worth getting it checked by a workshop before you make it worse.

Okay, appreciate the help! Took it to a workshop. Turns out it was indeed a defective cable/plug connection to the radiator oil pressure sensor as I suspected. 95€ repair. Cheers!

MICRA

Whoa, sounds rough. I had a similar issue with my Micra, though mine's an older model. Check the radiator coolant level first. Then, inspect the wiring and connectors to the pressure sensor. Sometimes a bad connection can cause all sorts of weirdness. Is the radiator actually leaking coolant?
