Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Seems like our Citroëns have a common microphone problem. Good to know it's solvable at the garage, although taking the audio system apart sounds a bit worrying. Do you remember how much you had to pay for it? And were there any other problems with it after the repair? Thank you!

Hey, sure, no problem! I left €255 in the workshop for the repair of the microphone. At first glance, this may sound a bit daunting, because the microphone itself is not that expensive. The real cost here is the time and effort involved, because the entire audio system has to be dismantled in order to reach the microphone. But after that, the microphone hands-free problem was fixed, so it was worth it. And to be honest, there were no further problems with the microphone or handsfree after that. Hope that brightens things up a bit!

Hey, thanks for your detailed information! I'll probably have to pay €255, but if the problem is solved afterwards and I can use the phone safely again while I'm driving, it's definitely worth it. I'll make an appointment at the garage for next week and hope they do a good job on me too. Thanks again and have a great day!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Citroën C5 Diesel from 2002. The hands-free system no longer responded and the microphone was defective. The microphone had to be replaced in the workshop. It was a pretty serious job because the entire audio system had to be dismantled to reach the microphone. But the guys in the workshop did a good job. Everything worked perfectly again afterwards. So I would recommend having it checked by professionals in a workshop. Don't worry, it can be solved. Hopefully this will help you!
