Mini Cabrio Diesel Engine Trouble
Summary of the thread
The 2015 Mini Cabrio Diesel is experiencing rough engine performance and an illuminated check engine light, with diagnostics indicating a 'reset quantity drift compensation' fault. This issue is likely caused by a defective injection valve or injector. The recommended solution is to have the injectors tested and possibly replaced by a reputable workshop, which can also handle the necessary compensation adjustments. Yes, the onboard diagnostics shows an error related to 'reset quantity drift compensation.' Did your issue also involve drift compensation? How did you resolve it? Any specific sensors I should be looking at?

Yep, that 'reset quantity drift compensation' error rings a bell. In my case, it ended up being an injector issue as well. I tried a few things myself, but honestly, you're probably better off taking it to a reputable workshop to get the injectors properly tested and possibly replaced. They'll have the right tools for the compensation adjustment afterward.

Thanks for the insights. I took it to a workshop; it turned out to be a faulty injector. Replaced it, and after the compensation adjustment, the engine runs smoothly again. Total cost was around 515€.

Rough engine running and a check engine light? Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Mini Cabrio. Did you check the car sensors? It could be related to the injection system. Is it throwing any specific error codes when you do an onboard diagnostics check?
