I had a similar issue with my Mini Cabrio. Weak starts and flickering lights are definitely concerning. Have you done any battery testing? It might be worthwhile to check the voltage sensor as well. A failing car battery or a low voltage situation can cause those symptoms, but it is worthwhile to confirm the vehicle diagnostics.

Thanks for the quick reply. When you say 'voltage sensor', do you mean the battery sensor specifically, or is there another sensor I should be looking at?

The workshop confirmed the battery sensor was faulty. Replacing it cost 315€. Everything is working correctly again. Thank you for your input.
