Thanks for the quick response! When you had the issue, did it feel like the car was jerking when accelerating? Also, how did you figure out it was the injection valve? Did you do any specific tests?

Yep, the jerking during acceleration sounds very familiar. I didn't diagnose it myself; I took it to a trusted mechanic. They ran some diagnostic tests that pointed to a faulty injector. It's best to get it checked professionally; you don't want to risk causing further damage. From my experience, driving more than necessary with a fuel injection problem isn't worth it.

Just wanted to give you an update! Took the Mini to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was indeed a defective fuel injector. They replaced it, and the car is running smoothly again. The final bill was 515€, which is a bit painful, but at least it's fixed. Thanks again for your help!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Mini Cabrio a while back. The check engine light was on, and the throttle response was terrible. Engine misfiring can be a pain. Did you check the spark plugs? It could also be related to the fuel pump, but with those symptoms, the injection valve is a strong candidate. It's like a clogged artery in your engine's fuel system, preventing proper fuel delivery.
