Mini Cabrio Fault Code Issue

Alright, I'm officially stumped. My 2016 Mini Cabrio is throwing a fault code. The speedometer is showing an error, and the infotainment system is also complaining. I ran an OBD-II diagnostic scanner, and it's pointing towards a potential issue with the car's coding. Has anyone else run into this? Is it as bad as it sounds?

I also drive a Mini Cabrio and experienced something similar. The check engine light illuminated, and the infotainment system displayed a generic error message. Did you, by any chance, recently perform any modifications or coding changes? In my case, incorrect coding was the culprit.

Coding changes? Not that I'm aware of. I haven't touched any of that. What exactly was the issue with your car's coding?

Yes, that's exactly what happened to me. After I had some aftermarket work done, the system started throwing errors. It turns out a control module wasn't correctly communicating with the rest of the car's systems. I would suggest having a workshop look at it. They should be able to recode the module to the correct specifications.

I took the Mini to a shop. They ran a diagnostic scanner and confirmed the control module needed some recoding. 360€ later and the malfunction indicator is finally gone. Thanks for the help!
