Mini Cabrio Fog Sensor Issue

I am experiencing issues with the fog sensor in my 2022 Mini Cabrio. The error memory contains a stored error, and the air conditioning system is not activating. Additionally, the spray nozzles are frozen at cold temperatures, and the mirror heating is non-functional. Could a defective cable or plug connection be the source of this malfunction?

Interesting problem. I encountered a similar situation with a Volkswagen. The climate control malfunctioned, and the mirror heating was inoperative. Did you check the relevant fuses, or perhaps inspect the wiring harness for any visible damage? It could be a chafed wire causing the issue.

Thank you for your response. Regarding the wiring harness inspection, should I focus on a particular area, considering the fog sensor involvement? Is there a common location where these cables tend to fail?

Given the symptoms across multiple systems, it's likely a central connection point. In my Volkswagen, the issue stemmed from a faulty connection near the central electrics box under the dashboard. However, without specific knowledge of the Mini's wiring layout, pinpointing the exact location is difficult. Perhaps consulting a wiring diagram or visiting a qualified workshop would be prudent?

I took the Mini to the workshop, and a defective cable connection was identified as the cause. The repair cost was 95€. All systems are now functioning correctly.
