Mini Cabrio Fuel Flap Problem

Thanks for the tip! I don't hear anything when I press the key fob button. The central locking seems fine, though. Where is the electric actuator located? Is it easy to access to check the wiring?

Sounds like a dead actuator then. It's located near the fuel filler, behind the trim. Honestly, it's a bit fiddly to get to, and you'll need some trim removal tools. Since you have an error code and suspect the actuator anyway, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and replace the actuator if needed.

Took it to the workshop as suggested. Error memory pointed to the lock actuator. They replaced it, and the fuel flap now opens perfectly with the key fob again. Total cost was 210€ as predicted. Thanks for the insight!

I had a similar problem with my Mini Cabrio too, though I have a slightly different model. Check if you can hear the electric actuator when you press the key fob button to release the fuel flap. If not, it could be a faulty actuator or a broken wire. Does the central locking work okay otherwise?
