Mini Cabrio Navigation Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Mini Cabrio is experiencing a navigation problem due to no GPS reception, with a fault stored in the error memory. The likely cause is identified as a defective GPS antenna, which is a common issue in these cars. The suggested solution is to replace the GPS antenna, which was confirmed as the problem and resolved with a replacement costing around 200€.

Is there a way to test the antenna myself before replacing it?

If the error's constant and you've ruled out interference, it really does sound like the antenna itself. Honestly, testing it without specialized tools is tough. A workshop visit might be best to confirm the diagnosis before you start replacing parts.

It was indeed the GPS antenna. Replacement cost me around 200€.

GPS antenna issues can be tricky! I had a similar issue with my Mini Cabrio. Is the error message persistent, or does it come and go? Have you checked for any obvious signal interference, like a phone mount or dashcam too close to the antenna?
