Thank you for your reply. I have not checked the window switch. Where can I find instructions for checking it? I did disconnect the battery, waited a few minutes, and then disconnected it. Should I have waited longer?

Yes, you are experiencing the same problem I had. Unfortunately, in my case, the regulator required reinitialization, which is usually a dealer-level procedure. The waiting time after disconnecting the battery is unlikely to be the cause. I would suggest taking it to a workshop with the appropriate diagnostic equipment. It could save you time and prevent further damage trying to troubleshoot yourself. The door panel removal might be unnecessary at this stage.

I appreciate the insight. It seems I am indeed facing a similar situation. The workshop confirmed the window regulator needs replacement and reinitialization. The estimated repair will be around 290€. Thank you for your help.

I had a similar issue with my Audi A3 after the battery was replaced. The windows simply stopped working. Have you tried checking the window switch itself? Sometimes a faulty switch can prevent the window reset. Also, did you disconnect the battery properly, waiting long enough before disconnecting it?
