Mini Cabrio Rough Idling Issue

Alright, so my 2004 Mini Cabrio is throwing a fit. It's got km on the clock and the engine's idling rough. Error memory says something about the engine mount being defective. I checked the plug connection, looks alright. Feels like driving a washing machine on spin cycle sometimes. Any ideas?

Had a similar issue with my Mini Cabrio. Uneven idling and error codes are common signs of a failed mount. Check the mounting bracket and transmission mount too, just to be sure.

Transmission mount, you say? Is that hard to check? I'm alright with basic stuff, but not a wizard.

Yeah, the transmission mount is connected to the engine mount via a mounting bracket, it's all interconnected, like a chain. If one goes, the others feel the strain. If you're not confident get it checked out at a workshop.

Appreciate the help! Turns out it was a defective engine mount cable. Paid 95€ to get it sorted. Runs like new now.
