Mini Cabrio Sunroof Error
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Mini Cabrio Diesel is experiencing a 'sunroof not initialized' error, causing the sunblind to be stuck and the convertible top to be inoperable. The issue likely stems from recent coding changes made to the vehicle. The suggested solution is to have the sunroof initialization reset at a workshop, which resolved the problem for another owner with a similar issue.

Yep, sounds very familiar. Mine did exactly the same thing. I couldn't fix it myself. Had to take it to a workshop to get the vehicle sunroof properly reset. They sorted it out pretty quickly.

Yeah, the sunblind is totally stuck in one position, won't budge at all. The convertible top is completely disabled too. The error message pops up every time I start the car. Did yours do the same? How did you fix it?

Just wanted to let you know I got it sorted! Took it to a local workshop, and they reset the sunroof initialization for 75€. Apparently, the coding I had done messed it up. Thanks for the advice!

I had a similar issue with my Mini Cabrio sunroof. It started acting up after some work was done on the car. Does the sunblind get completely stuck, or does it move a little? And does the error message appear constantly?
