Mini Cabrio Transmission Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Mini Cabrio is experiencing transmission issues, indicated by the MIL light and error codes related to the transmission oil pressure sensor. Symptoms include emergency mode engagement, unclean shifts, slippage, and grinding noises. The suspected cause is a low gearbox oil level. Solutions include checking and potentially topping up the gearbox oil, but a workshop visit may be necessary for a thorough diagnosis and repair.

Codes are P0715 and P0717, both relating to the transmission sensor. Did you have the same? Did topping up the oil solve the issue?

Yep, those DTCs sound familiar. Topping up the oil didn't fix it. Had to take it to a workshop.

Acknowledged. DTC pointed to the transmission sensor, alongside low oil level as suspected. Repair cost 365€. Thanks for the input, appreciated.

I had similar transmission issues with my Mini. Is it throwing any specific codes?
