Mini Cabrio Windshield Washer Heater Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Mini Cabrio was experiencing an error related to the windshield washer heater, causing the spray nozzles to freeze in cold temperatures. The suspected causes included a defective cable, plug connection, or possibly the washer motor itself. Suggestions included checking the fuse box for a blown fuse and considering the heater or its wiring as potential issues. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by replacing the faulty windshield washer heater at a workshop.

Thanks for the quick reply. Where exactly is the fuse for the washer motor located? And did you experience any issues with the windshield wipers because of this?

The fuse box diagram should indicate the exact fuse. I did have minor wiper issues initially but those were resolved once the heater malfunction was addressed. Considering the cost and the electrical nature of the issue, a workshop might be the best place to properly diagnose and repair it.

Just wanted to update you that the windshield washer heater was indeed faulty as suspected. The workshop replaced it, and the error is gone. The bill came to 95€. Thanks for your input!

I had a similar issue with my Mini Cabrio. The error memory showed a fault, and the nozzles froze during winter driving. Check the fuse box first; sometimes, it's just a blown fuse. If that's not it, it's likely the heater itself or the wiring to it.
