Mini Clubman ABS and Steering Issues

Yeah, I did check the tire pressure with a tire gauge, and it was definitely low in one tire, even after I filled it up. It keeps dropping. I've looked for punctures, but can't see anything obvious. You mentioned a 'slow leak' – is there anything specific I should be looking for, or is it something really subtle? Is it possible that the tire sensor is faulty instead or is it more likely that it's the tire itself?

Okay, if the tire keeps losing pressure even after you fill it, then it's almost certainly a slow leak and not just a faulty tire sensor. A subtle puncture or a faulty valve in tire can do that, even if you can't see it easily. It's messing with the tire pressure, which then throws off the ABS and power steering because they're all interconnected. Honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it properly checked out. They can do a more thorough inspection for punctures and test the valve stem.

Just wanted to let you know that you were spot on! Took my Mini Clubman to the workshop, and it turned out that a valve in the tire was defective, causing a slow leak and messing with the tire pressure sensor. They replaced the valve, checked the tire for punctures (thankfully none), and reset the system. Cost me about 280€. Steering is back to normal, no more ABS light, and the shaking is gone. Thanks a million for your help!

Whoa, sounds like a mess! I had something similar happen with my old Opel, although the symptoms were a bit different. Low tire pressure warning, ABS light, and the steering got super heavy. First thing, did you check your tires with a tire gauge? Even if they look okay, a slow leak can throw everything off. And have you inspected the tires closely for any signs of a punctured tire? A nail or screw can be sneaky.
