Mini Clubman Battery Malfunction

I'm experiencing a peculiar issue with my 2015 Mini Clubman diesel. It has roughly 59774 km on the clock. I'm getting a battery malfunction error message in the speedometer. The error is also stored in the error memory. When attempting an engine start, the battery seems weak, and generally, car electronics are behaving erratically. I suspect the auxiliary battery is not charging properly. Has anyone encountered something similar?
