Mini Clubman diesel engine issue

I am experiencing a rather disconcerting issue with my 2023 Mini Clubman diesel. With only a few km on the odometer, the engine refuses to start. Furthermore, the engine stalls at idle, the check engine light illuminates, and the engine runs rough, accompanied by higher fuel consumption. I suspect a defective fuel pump, possibly due to a cable or plug connection issue. Has anyone encountered similar symptoms?

Fuel pump issues can be tricky. I had a similar problem with my Clubman. Engine stalling at idle and the check engine light were the first signs. Did you check the fuel injector? Sometimes a faulty gasoline delivery can cause such symptoms. Also, what error code is stored in the error memory?
