Mini Clubman Electrical Issues

Alright lads, I'm proper cheesed off. My 2010 Mini Clubman diesel is throwing a right fit. Getting random error messages in driving mode, malfunction indicator going mental, and systems are failing left and right. Mostly audio/navigation, but I'm also getting control units shutting down or being unresponsive. Error stored in the error memory. Any ideas? Thinking it might be a dodgy cable connection of the control unit connection to the BUS system after reading around a bit. Service required light is on too of course.

Sounds familiar. I had similar gremlins with my Clubman. Check engine light was on and off like a disco. I was getting system failure warnings too, mainly audio and nav stuff cutting out. Did you run engine diagnostics yet? What codes are you pulling?

Yeah, ran a scan and it's throwing up a bunch of weird errors. But you reckon it's a BUS thing? Was it a pain to fix?

Yeah, sounds like the same cursed issue. I didn't fancy messing with the BUS system myself, so I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was a cable connection problem. It wasn't a massive job for them.

tHANKS! Sorted it. Turns out it was a dodgy cable connection to the BUS system like you said. Engine diagnostics confirmed it. Paid about 155€ at the workshop. Appreciate the heads up!
