Mini Clubman engine stalls at idle

Hello! A check engine light combined with stalling is definitely concerning. Since it's happening at idle, that adds another layer to it. Has your fuel efficiency been affected at all? It might be related to the EVAP system, which stands for Evaporative Emission Control System. It prevents fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. I am not an expert, but sometimes a faulty pressure sensor can cause similar issues. It monitors the pressure within the fuel tank. Is the air flow from the ventilation system normal?

Thank you so much for your assistance. I took the Mini to a local mechanic, and they confirmed the fuel tank ventilation system leak. It turned out to be a defective activated charcoal filter, just as you suspected. The repair cost me 275€, but at least the check engine light is off, and the engine no longer stalls. I appreciate your help!
