Mini Clubman Key Fob Battery Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Mini Clubman diesel displayed a low key battery warning, leading to non-functional keyless access and stored errors. The issue was confirmed to be a flat key fob battery when the spare key worked without problems. Replacing the battery resolved the issue, restoring full functionality to the electronic key.

Good point. I did try the spare key fob, and it worked perfectly. Does that confirm it's definitely just the battery in the original electronic key?

Yep, that pretty much confirms it. If the spare works fine, then the low battery warning is probably accurate. I ended up going to the workshop; they sorted it out quickly.

Thanks for the insight. Indeed, it was just the car key battery. Replaced it myself for 37€, and all is well. The electronic key works like new again. Lesson learned: don't ignore that low battery warning!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Mini Clubman. Keyless entry stopped working intermittently, and then completely failed. Did you try the spare car key to rule out any other problems?
